Sun shines on huge crowd at Kincardine Fall Fair parade

Mix sunny, warm weather with a great crowd, and you have the perfect combination for the Kincardine Fall Fair parade, Saturday.

Kruz (Andy Kruzynski) of Kincardine led the parade with his Heroes cruiser, followed by the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band with drum majors Nick Wood and Lorne Smith in the lead, marching from Victoria Park to the fairgrounds at Connaught Park.

The Kincardine Legion Colour Party joined the parade, followed by several scooters, youngsters with dressed-up goats, then dancers, Shriners, and numerous floats, including the famous Craig Family Float featuring Lois Craig as the Head Minion and all her many Mighty Minions.

There were a number of classic cars, carrying Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb and Kincardine mayor Anne Eadie, as well as the new Kincardine Fall Fair ambassador, Delage Mowle; first-runner-up and Miss Congeniality, Ashley McConnell; the remaining contestants, Raza Hussein, Maggie Robinson, Alice Thorpe and Belle Wilson; and the 2015-16 ambassador, Hailey Allen.

The Kincardine Community Concert Band entertained the crowd, and the parade finished up with antique tractors, the old Mahood Lumber truck, antique fire truck, large farm equipment, and the Snobelen Farms truck.

Liz Dadson of the Kincardine Record, announced the entries as they made their way into the fairgrounds, using the sound system provided by Joe Carter of Sun Life Financial.
