Kincardine community raises $13,000 for Community Living at Beachside Run

Runners of all ages and experience levels gathered at Station Beach, Kincardine, Sunday morning, for the All-Abilities Beachside Run in support of Community Living of Kincardine and District.

It was a perfect, sunny day, with more than 120 runners taking part, raising $13,000 for the agency, said Darrel Perry of Penetangear, one of the supporters of the run.

Participants were able to run a five-kilometre route or 10-kilometre route; a three-kilometre family run; or a two-kilometre walk. Families and, in some instances, three generations, ran together.

Race winners and fund-raising champions received medals and prizes from Sugoi, Nathan and Compression, courtesy of Penetangear.

Congratulations to Beth French and the Community Living team for taking over management of this event from the Kincardine Rotary Club.
