Sympathy from the community goes to Barbara Gamble and family on the loss of John who died Sept. 8. Many of us have fond memories of John's storytelling, generosity and dedication to family and community.
Shirley Gilders and Mary Anne Kukoly went up to Scone to visit with their cousin, Betty Hedley Carrick, last week. Previous to that, Mary Anne had visited with Betty’s brother, Delbert, at Pinecrest Manor. Mary Anne also visited with Cathy McKinnon of Karishea.
Carol Bogaert of Kincardine and Mary Anne went on another gravel run last week.
Belated birthday wishes to Largaret McInnes at Pinecrest Manor. She is 89 years young. Her family gathered to celebrate. Also visiting with her, were granddaughters Kirsten Gottschalk of Hamilton, and Stephanie and Kingsley To of Toronto.
Congratulations to Erlma Jean Haldenby who celebrated her 80th birthday, Saturday, at the home of Shelley and Glen in Kinlough. Everyone was pleased to visit with her sister, Sandra Munroe of Winnipeg, and all of the Percy connection.

Mary Anne visited with Marilyn and Jeff Fraser of Ottawa while they were at Huntsville.
Some of the Logtenberg families were able to get together on the Labour Day weekend for a barbecue and visiting.

Welcome to our two newest babies in the Purple Grove Community: Geraint Jack House, son of Julianne (Clifford) and Andrew House of London, born Aug. 20, proud grandparents are Arnie and Diane Clifford; and Arlo Kenneth Farrell, second son of Becca (Bridge) and Thomas Farrell of Kincardine, born on Sept. 4, proud big brother is Everett Farrell and proud grandparents are Kenneth Bridge, Bren and Harvey deLeeuw, and Sandra and Geoff Farrell.

Visiting with Roy and Maureen Collins are her brother, Peter Howell of British Columbia. Sunday, Sept. 18, a Come-and-Go will be held at the Kinlough Anglican Church to celebrate Roy's 80th birthday.
