Tiverton Fall Fair - Sept. 30 to Oct. 2
The Tiverton Fall Fair is coming up next weekend - Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. Hope to see you there and at the fall fair parade. I’ll be there again on the Tiverton Park Manor float and, if the weather is nice, maybe I’ll be able to coax a few residents on it with me.
New this year, at the fair, is the TASmania Food and Drink, Lifestyle Event (Tiverton Agricultural Society - TAS/Mania of activity - you'll want to be there to see it for yourself!), Sunday, Oct. 2, following the church service at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre.
The Tractor and Truck Pull begins at 12:30 p.m. on the track, so after church, go check out the track and then come back to the community centre for the Farmer Chili Cook-Off and Lifestyle Demonstrations, from 1-4 p.m! This is a come-and-go session and also a place to get warm and fed if it snows! Join us Sunday for some great new attractions, vote for the best chili winner, learn and participate in the demos. We have fantastic sponsors and experts to share with you on and off the track!

The Tiverton and District Lions will be holding a Fall Fair breakfast, Saturday, Oct. 1, from 8-10:30 a.m., at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre.
Shiverton
It may sound early to be mentioning this, but the Shiverton event will be here before we know it. Tiverton gets in the Halloween spirit for ‘Shiverton,’ Oct. 29 and 30, when various homes offer terrifying haunted tours! This fun event will get everyone in the Halloween spirit and supports the Tiverton and District Lions Club. It was a blast last year and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this year. Something ghoulish, I’m sure. Don’t miss it.
Tiverton Library
Thursday, Oct. 6, our 2 p.m. matinee is "The Dark Horse" starring Cliff Curtis. It’s based on a true story about a brilliant but troubled New Zealand chess champion who finds purpose by teaching underprivileged children about the rules of chess and life.
Manor Musings
The residents of the manor had a nice day trip to Harrison Park for lunch and to enjoy the swans and their friends. After lunch, they enjoyed a nice drive along the coast and back home. Happy birthday to Laverne Schmidt.
