Fund-raising Cabaret this weekend in support of the Kincardine Refugee Committee

The Kincardine Theatre Guild and talented members of the community are working together to perform a "Fund-raising Cabaret" in support of the Kincardine Refugee Committee, this weekend at the Kincardine Arts Centre.

The event features about 25 acts, with singing, dancing, guitar-playing, poetry-reading, monologue-reading, and a couple of hilarious numbers as well.

The cabaret opens with the theatre guild singing "I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing," followed by the Hunter Trio - Jamie, Jason and Jenny; and the first act ends with the Kincardine Community Singers and their rendition of "The Prayer."

MCs for the event, are Fiona Miller and Kathryn Low who starred as the Shadow and Peter Pan in the Kincardine Theatre Guild production of "Peter Pan, A Pantomime."

The show runs Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, beginning at 8 p.m., with general seating. Tickets are $20 each; available at J'Adorn in downtown Kincardine.
