Santa stops in for visit at Kincardine hospital auxiliary boutique
Santa Claus stopped in for a quick visit at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine hospital auxiliary boutique, Friday morning.
He had a difficult time greeting people as there was such a large crowd at this popular annual event, held Friday and Saturday at the hospital.
The heavy-laden bake table was a beehive of activity even before the boutique officially opened at 10 a.m., as people swarmed to purchase their favourite pies, tarts, cakes, cookies and squares from a great variety on offer.
Hospital auxiliary gift shop convener Nancy Potter and her assistant, Tracey Robinson, had a wonderful assortment of Christmas items on display, including fancy dishes, home decor, Christmas ornaments, jewellery and gift-giving ideas, as well as many beautiful scarves. There was also a tea room in the cafeteria.
The event was well-attended again this year and is a major fund-raiser for the hospital auxiliary, with all money used to fund equipment for the Kincardine hospital.
