Thank you to all who came out for the St. Andrews Park Christmas Tree-Lighting, Saturday, Nov. 19. It was again a great success even if there was no snow. See you again next year!

TIVERTON AND DISTRICT LIONS CLUB

The Tiverton and District Lions will be distributing Christmas Hampers to those in need in Tiverton and area (as far north as North Bruce and south to the 5th Concession  of Kincardine Township), Glammis, and Inverhuron. The hampers will be delivered Saturday, Dec. 17. For those who would like to receive a hamper, referrals must be made through your social worker, counsellor, minister or school. Donation boxes for non-perishable items and gifts, have been placed in local businesses until Dec. 15. For further information, contact Lion Guy at 519-368-7871.

The Tiverton and District Lions are looking for someone, aged 16-22, to participate in a Lions Club International Youth Exchange in June/July of 2017. The applicants must reside in Tiverton, Bruce Township or Kincardine Township. Visit www.lionsclubs.org enter youth exchange in the search window and learn about the countries (41) participating. Contact Lion Brent Crawford at 519 368 5361. Deadline for the application is Dec. 15, 2016.
 
CHURCH NEWS

The Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church will be holding its annual Christmas Cookie Walk, Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to Noon in the Church Activity Room. An easy and fun way to stock up on homemade baking for the holidays! You don’t want to miss this event.

White Gift Sunday will be held at Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church, Sunday, Dec. 11.

LIBRARY NEWS

Thursday, Dec. 1, we'll be doing homemade Christmas tree decorations to keep or give as a gift! Drop by anytime between 4-6 p.m.
