EMC leases AREVA office space on Highway 21

A new company is moving to Kincardine and leasing the office space where AREVA was located (the former Canadian Agra building) on Highway 21. But AREVA is not leaving Kincardine.

Tom Uzzell, conventional service and product line manager with AREVA, said Wednesday that the main building is being leased by EMC which does electrical contract work at Bruce Power.

AREVA continues to lease the other two buildings and storage bays at the Highway 21 site, he said, and in fact, the company has just re-negotiated a long-term lease for those buildings.

Uzzell said AREVA continues to do nuclear consulting work for Bruce Power, but also does specialized high-voltage maintenance, formerly done by Hydro One, at the Bruce Nuclear site.
