South Bruce OPP report driver charged at crash; alcohol charge; and drunk woman charged

DRIVER CHARGED AT TWO-VEHICLE CRASH

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Dec. 6, at 8:31 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Durham Street and River Lane in Kincardine. 

Officers attended and learned that a white Toyota Venza and an orange Jeep Cherokee were involved. The driver of the Toyota, a 74-year-old Kincardine man, was charged with making an unsafe turn. There were no injuries reported at the scene. 

VEHICLE CHECK FINDS OPEN LIQUOR

(BRANT TWP, ON) – Dec. 8, at 1:17 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol, stopped to check a grey Chevrolet Impala along Bruce County Road 3, Brant Township. 

A quantity of open liquor was found in the vehicle. A 21-year-old passenger in the vehicle was charged with open liquor. The 17-year old driver was charged with driving without a licence.

WOMAN ARRESTED AT DISTURBANCE

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Dec. 7, at 10:48 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a disturbance at the Boston Pizza located on Millennium Way in Kincardine. 

Officers arrived and observed a belligerent, intoxicated woman in the restaurant. She was arrested and taken to the OPP detachment where she became combative with officers. Twenty-six-year-old Nicole EDMONSTONE of Kincardine has been charged with cause disturbance, intoxicated in public, trespassing, fail to comply, mischief and two counts of assault police. She was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing Dec. 8.
