Car slides into the ditch on Bruce Avenue, Kincardine
It's been a snowy, blustery couple of days, creating havoc for motorists and pedestrians in the Kincardine area.

One driver ended up planting a car in the ditch on Bruce Avenue, west of Highway 21, Tuesday morning, due to the slippery roads. And pedestrians had to take care, walking along icy sidewalks and driveways.

Meanwhile, Monday morning, buses were cancelled to Ripley-Huron Community School and Lucknow Central Public School but the schools remained open. Brookside Public School, south of Lucknow, was closed. The situation was worse further south.

High wind and heavy snowfall are expected for the rest of the week and into the weekend, with blowing and drifting snow, and cold temperatures.

Brace for it - winter is here!
