Kincardine Christmas Hamper program another success thanks to community support
To the Editor:
On behalf of Kincardine Community Services Christmas Hamper program, I would like to, once again, thank an army of people who make the whole thing possible.
I could not possibly name every person or organization as it takes the whole community pulling together to make Christmas just a little brighter for some folks who, otherwise, would not be able to have such a bountiful Christmas.
This year, we packed 182 hampers and distributed them to 86 families, 40 couples and 56 individuals.
The Kincardine District Secondary School Christmas Knights did an excellent job, once again, of collecting food and toys Dec. 10. We cannot thank them enough because without their help, we would not have the items required to fill the hampers.
A special thank you to my “band of merry elves,” the committee members, who went above and beyond, and with a willing smile, did all of the tasks asked of them.
Until next year, we wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!
