Ron Motz (right), trustee for the Municipality of West Grey/Town of Hanover, was acclaimed as chairman for a third term.
“I am humbled by the confidence that my fellow trustees have placed in me, and look forward to serving as their chairman for another term,” said Motz. “Many of our board’s current challenges, such as declining enrollment and excess pupil spaces, will persist in the year ahead. Trustees will continue to work cohesively, diligently and responsibly to address these challenges for the good of all our students.”
Also acclaimed, was
Jan Johnstone (below), trustee for the Municipality of Kincardine/Township of Huron-Kinloss, who continues as vice-chairperson for a second term.

“I thank my colleagues around the board table for allowing me to once again fulfill the vice-chairperson's duties,” said Johnstone. “It demonstrates that trustees value the importance of continuity as we move further along the course that we established through our strategic plan. This includes our focus on reducing empty pupil places, which provides opportunities for upgrades and new builds, enhanced programming opportunities for students, as well as creative community partnerships.”
