Kincardine Legion welcomes in 2017 at New Year's Levee
A good crowd turned out to raise a toast to 2017, at the Kincardine Legion's annual New Year's Levee, Sunday afternoon.
President Mary Farrell welcomed everyone, and the assembly toasted the Queen and the Fallen Comrades, and then Zone C-1 Commander Eric Ross of Brussels brought greetings from the zone.
Kincardine mayor Anne Eadie addressed the crowd on behalf of the Municipality of Kincardine. She congratulated the Legion on the fine work it does in the community, and wished all the volunteers much success in 2017.
Rev. Jim Weir, Legion chaplain, also spoke to those assembled, and then offered grace before the group enjoyed a delicious lunch in the hall.
