Bervie W.I. ladies learn how to do arm-knitting

The weather co-operated, allowing the Bervie Women's Institute to meet at the Bervie United Church, Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 10 a.m., with seven members and one guest answering the Roll Call with "my winter project."

President Sylvia Hasbury opened with a poem, "The Old House called Home," followed by the usual openings. 

Diane Wilson gave the flower report. Quincy books, teddy bears and soft blankets will be donated to the Kincardine Fire Department and Emergency Services in February or March. Several people plan to purchase the "150 Life Stories" book  published by the Federated Women's Institute of Ontario.

Diane Wilson demonstrated how to do arm-knitting and the ladies each made a cowl scarf. Thanks to Betty Anne Thompson and Sandra MacDonald for the tasty snacks.

The next meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Bervie United Church at 10 a.m.
