South Bruce OPP report impaired drivers

DRIVER TO TRY WALKING FOR THREE DAYS

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Jan. 17, at 1:23 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Highway 21 in the Municipality of Kincardine, stopped a black Ford pick-up truck. 

The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. A three-day licence suspension was served following a warn range result at the roadside.

IMPAIRED DRIVER CAUGHT SPEEDING

(HURON TWP, ON) – Jan. 15, at 12:48 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 7 in Huron Township, noticed a red Jeep Wrangler moving at a high rate of speed. 

The vehicle speed was displayed on radar at more than 120 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. Forty-eight-year-old Kenneth EAKETT of Kincardine was charged with operate over-80 milligrams and speeding. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 22, to answer to the charges.

IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING DAY IN COURT

(TEESWATER, ON) – Jan. 14, at 9:05 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Brownlee Street South in Teeswater, stopped a white Ford pick-up truck. 

The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Thirty-four-year old Timothy MILLER of Greenock Township has been charged with impaired operation and operate over-80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 15, to answer to the charges.
