Five students take part in Kincardine Legion public-speaking competition

The Kincardine Legion hosted its annual public-speaking competition, Saturday morning, with five students taking part.

Samantha Kim of Ecole Elgin Market Public School won the Primary division (Grades 1-3).

Nicolas Marcotte of St. Anthony's School won the Junior (Grades 4-6) division, followed by Joseph Weerasinghe of St. Anthony's, who gave his speech in French, and Pravit Joshi of Huron Heights Public School.

Emilio Colley-Aquino of St. Anthony's School won the Intermediate division.

The first-place winners, Samantha, Nicolas and Emilio, advance to the Legion Zone competition, slated for March 4 in Kincardine.
