The Trews to headline Saturday night concert at Kincardine Scottish Festival
Toronto-based rock-and-roll band, The Trews, is set to headline the Saturday night concert at the 18th annual Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games this summer.
The festival runs July 7-9 in Victoria Park, with pipe bands, heavy events, Highland dancing and internationally-renowned musical acts. There’s something for the whole family to enjoy!
Friday night features Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy, while a number of festival favourites are performing throughout the weekend, including the British rock-a-billy band, Bessie and the Zinc Buckets; Scotland's Albannach; and a major crowd-pleaser, The Mudmen.
The sounds of Scotland will echo across Loch Huron, with more than 30 pipe bands competing Saturday, along with solo piping and drumming competitions, Highland-dancing competitions, and the heavy events at Robinson Park. Regalia and food vendors from across the province, will have their Celtic-themed wares on hand, including pottery, jewellery and clothing.
Sunday is Family Day at the festival, with a wonderful line-up of children's games, activities, and live music.
