Purple Grove news
Our sympathy is extended to the families of Wanita Hollands and May Petteplace.
Thanks to the folks at St. Andrew's United Church, Ripley, for hosting a yummy Pancake Supper, Tuesday evening. They also hosted the 2017 World Day of Prayer. This year’s program was written by the ladies of the Philippines. Thanks to everyone who took part in the service.
Christine Roberts sends her appreciation to all the people of the Ripley, Point Clark and south Kincardine areas who gave their time and energy to canvass for the Heart and Stroke Foundation in February.
The Roberts are very happy to have their new generator installed. It was used twice in the last two weeks. We don’t imagine the snowy owl lived to tell the tale of colliding with the power lines.
Janice and Stephen Elliott of Blind River visited with Joyce and John Farrell and Eleanor and Bob Johnson recently.
We hope Leonard Farrell has a speedy recovery after a short stay in the hospital.
Janet Nixon and Mary Anne Kukoly had a good visit with Ruth McCosh and two of her daughters. Our sympathy is sent to Janice on the death of her husband, Vern Welch of Goderich.
Lastly, Purple Grove news has its own fame. Many people enjoy reading it. We would like to grant a wish to someone who wished to some day get his name in the Purple Grove news. Wishing Dan Pitre and family a great spring from Bonnie Boyle!
