The Kincardine Theatre Guild continues its all-Canadian lineup in 2017, marking Canada’s 150th birthday, with the spring production of Norm Foster's "One Actmanship."
There’s a little catch, though.
This show is not one Canadian play, it’s actually two one-act comedies: "My Narrator" and "The Death of Me."
In "My Narrator," Lacy’s narrator — you know, the voice inside her head — suddenly starts thinking for itself and less for Lacy.
In "The Death of Me," John learns that sometimes the mistakes you may have made in your past, can’t just be fixed within one afternoon.
"My Narrator" is directed by Amber Rawlings, while Jennifer Neil is directing "The Death of Me." The show opens May 18 at 8 p.m., at the Kincardine Arts Cetnre, and runs May 19 and 26, and June 1 and 2 at 8 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees planned for May 20, 27 and 28.
The cast of "My Narrator" includes Sarah Foster (nee Millar) as Lacy, Jason Geberdt as Miles, Rob Millar as Bob, and Deb Tripp as Barb. Geberdt has been awarded the Most Promising Newcomer Award for out-of-festival plays for his role of the Butler in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat." He was set to pick up his award at the Western Ontario Drama League Festival gala Saturday, March 18.
The cast of "The Death of Me" includes Shane Middelkamp as John, Barry Neilson as the Angel of Death, Bailey Baldassari as Cassie, and Matt Harvey as the Doctor. This is Bailey Baldassari’s first production with the Kincardine Theatre Guild.
As well as a new spring production, the theatre guild is proud to announce the launch of its new website.
