Ripley, Lucknow Novices battle for Jacobi Cup, series tied at 1-1
The Ripley Novice Wolves and the Lucknow Sepoys are battling for possession of the WOAA Novice championship and the Jacobi Cup.
Following Monday night's game, the best-of-five series is tied at one game apiece.
Ripley hosted Lucknow in Game 1, Saturday afternoon at the Ripley Arena, and won, 5-3. Jared Moffat led the scoring for Ripley with four goals, while William Falconer added one. Assists went to Kale Liddle and Cuyler Liddle. Lucknow goals were scored by Colton Maki with two, and Brody Gibson with one, while Grayden McNee earned an assist.
Lucknow hosted Game 2, Monday night at the Lucknow Arena, and won, 4-1. Colton Maki led the scoring for Lucknow with three goals, while Brady Gibson had one. Assists went to Wyatt Frey and Nolan Moffat. Jared Moffatt had the lone goal for Ripley, unassisted.
With strong end-to-end action, this is a good series to watch.
Game 3 will run March 25 at 2 p.m. in Ripley; with Game 4, March 26 at 6 p.m. in Lucknow; and Game 5, March 29 at 6 p.m. in Ripley.
