Kincardine Atom rep. team wins OMHA and WOAA titles

The Kincardine Canadian Tire Atom Rep. team downed Petrolia, three games to one, to take the "B" Division Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) title, Sunday (March 19).

The Kinucks won Game 1 by a score of 3-1, but lost Game 2, by a score of 3-2, before taking Games 3 and 4, by scores of 4-0 and 4-3, to take the all-Ontario championship.

The Atoms also played Hanover and won the Western Ontario Athletic Association (WOAA) championship as well.

Also, to the Bantam Rep. team and the Atom AE team which also won WOAA titles.

The Kincardine Miller Midgets were in a do-or-die situation Friday night as they tried to stave off elimination in the OMHA finals against Moorefield at the Davidson Centre, after losing the first two games in that best-of-five series in Moorefield.
