One more blast of winter for Kincardine area
The calendar may say spring, but winter isn't through with us yet.
Residents of the Kincardine area woke up Friday morning to a delightful coating of snow, just enough to require the retrieval of a snow brush to clear off the car.
The snowstorm blew in Thursday afternoon, causing havoc on the roadways by the evening, with blowing and drifting snow. However, by Friday morning it was simply an inconvenience as the roads were clear, and Kincardine traffic and school buses ran as normal.
However, bus routes were cancelled for the schools in Ripley and Lucknow, and roadways further inland were slushy and slippery.
By Friday afternoon, the snow had practically disappeared but the wind remained strong and the temperature hovered around zero Celsius.
Warmer, sunny weather is forecast for the weekend, with a high of 14 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
