Charity piggy bank disappears from Jean's Family Restaurant
A piggy bank, used for collecting donations for Crohn's and Colitis Canada, has disappeared from Jean's Family Restaurant in Kincardine.
Owners Harold and Lynda Maurer said the plastic bank was in its usual place beside the used book sale, Wednesday morning. Patrons help themselves to the books by making a donation toward the organization supported by the restaurant and its staff.
The Maurers said by the end of Wednesday, the piggy bank had disappeared and with it about $10 in donations. Fortunately, the bank had been emptied the day before.
A second piggy bank now sits beside the used book sale. If you have any information about the missing bank, contact Jean's Family Restaurant at 519-396-1900.
