This year's McHappy Day in Kincardine was the most successful event ever, raising $11,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The annual national fund-raiser, held Wednesday at McDonald's Restaurant, encourages customers to buy a Big Mac

® beverage or Happy Meal
® and for each of these items purchased, McDonald's donates $1 to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
In Kincardine, the event also included a spin-the-wheel contest at the drive-thru, a bake sale and a yard sale. Organizers Lynn Reilly and Becky Brestovansky were thrilled to report that the total raised was $11,092.79.
