Huron Heights vice-principal to take on same role at Walkerton school in the fall
The Bluewater District School Board is shaking things up a bit, with principals and vice-principals moving hither and yon in the fall.
Tanya Leppington, currently teacher and part-time vice-principal at Huron Heights Public School, Kincardine, becomes vice-principal at Walkerton District Community School; and there will no longer be a vice-principal at Huron Heights.
"It's a full-time vice-principal position," said Leppington. "It will be a big change, that's for sure. I will truly miss working with the students, families and staff in the Kincardine family of schools but I am excited to begin this new chapter of my career, working in a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school and joining the team at WDCS."
Colleen Maguire, current principal at Kincardine Township-Tiverton Public School, becomes principal at Huron Heights.
Meanwhile, Graham Martin, principal at Ripley-Huron Community School, becomes principal at KTTPS; and Mary Martha Uttley-Shaw takes on the job of principal at the school in Ripley.
Lori Templeton returns to Kincardine District Secondary School as vice-principal, taking over from Suzanne Kennedy who becomes vice-principal at Port Elgin-Saugeen Central School.
These placements are effective Sept. 1, 2017.
