Weird weather hits Kincardine area over the past week
If you were hoping for a sunny, hot Victoria Day weekend on the beaches in the Kincardine area, you were likely disappointed.

The weather has been rather weird over the past week.

Wednesday and Thursday felt like summer with a high temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and heavy wind. This created dusty conditions for farmers trying to work their fields and plant them.

Friday was a return to chilly weather and a high of about 15 degrees Celsius, and Saturday was perhaps the best day of the weekend with sunshine and a high of almost 20 degrees Celsius. However, it was hard to convince the volunteers at the Ripley and District Horticultural Society's plant sale as they huddled in the gazebo at Lewis Park, wearing ear muffs and winter coats.

Torrential rain and high wind blew through the area Sunday, completely saturating everything, and even though the temperature was 20 degrees Celsius, it felt more like 15 degrees Celsius.

As for the holiday Monday, it was cold and breezy with a chance of rain. And that's the forecast for the rest of the week.
