Township holding public meeting into Point Clark Dog Park
A public meeting is slated for Tuesday, May 30, from 7:30-9 p.m., at the Point Clark Community Centre, to discuss a potential Dog Park in Point Clark.
Huron-Kinloss council discussed the issue at its meeting May 15.
Community services director Mike Fair said staff has been working with a committee interested in developing a Dog Park in Point Clark.
Initially, a proposal was put forth to use public land in Lions Park. However, feedback indicated that this is not an ideal location for the park. So, staff is also considering land south of the Point Clark Community Centre building for the Dog Park.
Fair said the public meeting Tuesday will allow staff to present both proposals - for Lions Park and south of the community centre - as well as details about Dog Parks, in general, and then gather input.
Everyone is welcome to attend the public meeting. For further information, contact Fair at mfair@huronkinloss.com or 519-395-2909.
