Congratulations to the Ripley Agricultural Society on providing a great meal, Sunday. The Spaghetti Supper (A Taste of Italy) was well-attended and, of course, the desserts were much-appreciated. It is always good to meet newcomers to our area and to see them enjoying the great food and fellowship. Thanks to all the cooks, servers and helpers. Good job!
Marilee and David Rhody of Wakefield, Quebec, are staying with Janet and Wayne Rhody and visiting with family and friends in the area.
Congratulations to the churches celebrating anniversaries, including Knox Presbyterian in Ripley and Kinlough Presbyterian.
Those who were able to attend the Hootenanny at the Kingsbridge Centre, Friday evening, were well-entertained. It was good to see the youngsters and the 20-plus musicians playing harps. What a delight. Good for the Kingsbridge folks for providing such an excellent venue for these concerts.
We are sorry to hear so many of our folks are having to be confined to home because of illness. Get well soon; our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Congratulations to Lana Pollock who was honoured at a Bridal Shower, Saturday in Ripley. We enjoyed visiting family and friends. Thursday afternoon, June 1, we will be gathering to honour Jessica Winterburn with a bridal shower. It will be at Mary Anne Kukoly’s home.
