Kincardine's Rosie Laidler, bronze-medal winner at the World Special Olympic Games in Austria, back in March, proudly held the torch high as she and her fellow athletes joined in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, Wednesday, May 24, in downtown Kincardine.
The athletes and police officers from the South Bruce OPP detachment, gathered at Quinn Plaza and then, with a police escort, headed down Queen Street to Victoria Park.
Officers collected donations along the way, with all the funds going to support Special Olympics in the area.
