Huron Township man charged in drug raid
(HURON TWP, ON) - June 6, members of the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit, West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine Unit, and South Bruce OPP, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property along Concession 10 in Huron Township.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized cannabis marijuana, oxycodone, Percocet, morphine and nabilone. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances was $3,030.
Police also seized offence-related property that consisted of trafficking paraphernalia, cash, prohibited weapons and ammunition.
Fifty-four-year-old Edward FINLAYSON of Huron Township was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of possession of controlled substances, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon and careless storage of a firearm.
He was held in custody pending the result of a bail hearing scheduled June 6.
