Amazing Race Kincardine slated for Saturday, July 22

If you like watching all the excitement of the Amazing Race on television, here's your chance to be a part of the action here in Kincardine.

The Amazing Race Kincardine is slated to run Saturday, July 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with proceeds to the development of the Stonehaven Community Park, at the south end of Kincardine.

The race includes a variety of mental and physical challenges, and options will be provided for all ability and fitness levels at each challenge.

There is a Family Race for a maximum of six people, open to all ages and their parents, grandparents or guardians. The challenges in this event are best suited to youngsters, from 18 months of age to 10-year-olds.

There is also a Two-Person Race for ages 10 and up. The challenges in this event are more geared toward teens and adults.

While it is called the "Amazing Race Kincardine," participants are welcome to complete challenges at their own pace because, for the most part, it's about the fun of completing challenges rather than speed.

The race will start and end in Victoria Park, with a barbecue and awards ceremony, followed by bouncy castle fun and family games, from about Noon to 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to this part of the event, whether they were part of the race or not.

This event requires a minimum of 20 teams registered before June 19 in order for it to proceed. So, register your team at the following link: bit.ly/amazingracekincardineregister
