Get your ticket to play progressive lottery, Catch the Ace
The Kincardine Legion and the 2018 Reunion Committee have joined forces to host a new progressive raffle lottery, Catch the Ace, in Kincardine.
Co-ordinator
Laura Haight (above) says the lottery is based on a deck of 52 playing cards. You purchase a $5 ticket, write an envelope number on it (between one and 52), and submit it for the draw. When the weekly draw is made, the winner's envelope number is opened to reveal a playing card. If it isn't the Ace of Spades, the winner receives a portion of the proceeds, with the rest going back into the Jackpot which grows until the Ace of Spaces is drawn. Half of the proceeds also goes to the Legion and the reunion committee.
There are 750 tickets sold each week, and the draw is held every Wednesday at 4 p.m., at the Kincardine Legion.
The first draw was held Wednesday, June 7, with Al Bowers of Kincardine the winner. He chose Envelope 17 so that choice is gone for this week's draw. Envelope 17 contained the King of Spades.
A new series of tickets went on sale Friday morning at three outlets: the Legion Bar, Jean's Family Restaurant and Sleepers Bed Gallery. The next draw will be held Wednesday, June 14, at 4 p.m., at the Legion. All draws will be broadcast on Facebook Live at:

The lottery is being held under Lottery Licence No. M756548. You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase tickets.
