Grey Bruce Health Unit appoints chief nursing officer
The Grey Bruce Health Unit has a chief nursing officer.

Under the Ontario Public Health organizational standards, boards of health are required to designate a chief nursing officer to be responsible for nursing quality assurance and nursing practice leadership at the health unit.

At the regular meeting, Friday June 23, the board of health approved a resolution, appointing a chief nursing officer to meet the terms and conditions of the standards.

Congratulations to Sarah Ellis, the new chief nursing officer.

Hired from within, Ellis begins her new duties, effective immediately.
