Sun shines on Tiverton Lions Summer Kick-off event
Sunny, warm weather greeted the youngsters and their families who gathered at the Tiverton fairgrounds, Saturday, June 24, for the Summer Kick-off event, sponsored by the Tiverton Lions Club, to celebrate the Lions International Centennial, and Bruce County`s 150th anniversary.

Children were welcome to try numerous activities, including the Inflatable Fun Farm, Touch the Truck, and Bossy Bingo. The Bruce County 150 event trailer was on site, as well, with staff welcoming people to tell their stories about why they love living in this part of Ontario.

The kick-off actually began Friday night with a free family movie night. Saturday`s activities featured a bike rally, digital scavenger hunt, a car and truck show and shine, and a spaghetti dinner. The day ended with a family street dance at night.
