Bruce County Road 1 closed from Highway 9 to Kingarf till September

Beginning tomorrow (Friday, July 14) at 7 a.m. until early September, Bruce County Road 1 will be closed, from Highway 9 to Kingarf (Kincardine-Kinloss Boundary), due to road construction.

A detour has been posted.

First responders will have access to only Fire No. 1768 Bruce Road 1 from Highway 9, until further notice. All other properties north of No. 1768 Bruce Road 1 will need to be accessed via the posted detour or the nearest accessible roads.

As construction progresses, access to No. 1768 Bruce Road 1 from Highway 9 will be removed and, in turn, be provided from the north along with the other properties, until construction is complete in early September.

The Bruce County Highways Department apologizes for any inconvenience this road construction may cause.
