Ripley Ravens girls basketball team wins Walkerton Riverhawk Classic

The Ripley Ravens girls basketball team took the championship at the Walkerton District Community School elementary girls tournament March 10.
 

Ripley faced Port Elgin Saugeen Central in the first game and it was a very fast-paced match with the Ravens coming out on top. 36-8.

Ripley’s fast passing was too much for Northport in the next game as the girls dribbled to a 30-9 victory.
 

In the championship game against Walkerton, the Ravens once again got off to a fast start, taking a 13-3 lead. Ripley’s excellent rebounding and layups resulted in a 33-11 win.
