Sunny weather, largest crowd ever at Bruce Telecom Lighthouse Blues Festival
The eighth annual Bruce Telecom Lighthouse Blues Festival enjoyed beautiful sunny weather and the largest crowd ever, in downtown Kincardine, July 14-16.

Organizer Rick Clarke said there were more than 6,000 people at the three-day event which included the Friday and Saturday night main stage performances, the free Kincardine Business Improvement Area (BIA) Saturday Street Festival, and the Sunday morning Gospel Revival in Victoria Park.

"The Saturday Street Festival and the Sunday Gospel Revival saw the best crowds ever," he said. "We are very happy with the response this year and appreciate the great support from our volunteers and sponsors which makes the festival possible."

The street festival saw plenty of activity in downtown Kincardine, with four stages of performers throughout the day, as well as a petting zoo, zipline, children's art zone, British car show, an antique bicycle show, and artists' walkway.

Performing on the Bruce Power stage in the gazebo at Victoria Park, were Josh Geddes, Tom Lockwood and Paul Langille, Alfie Smith, Suzie Vinnick and Rick Taylor.

At the Society of Energy Professionals stage, in front of the Kincardine Library, were the Great Canadian Swampstompers, Andrew Parkhouse Band, L'il Blues Pill, Sons of Rhythm, and the Riverside Blues Band.

Performing on the Ontario Power Generation (OPG) workshop stage on Harbour Street, were Tyler Pantlin and Patrick Dunning, Ray Holden and Mikey Ethelston, Matt Weidinger, Taylor, Temple and Richardson, and Chuckee Zehr.

At the Enbridge Youth Stage, at the corner of Lambton and Queen Streets, were a Pick Studio Showcase, Nik Murray, Danica Wall, John Graham, Emberstill, and Serena Rutledge.
