Equipment failure causes brief power outage in downtown Kincardine
Several businesses were left in the dark Tuesday over the lunch hour, as an equipment failure caused a brief power outage in downtown Kincardine, Tuesday.
Bill Lorentz, manager of customer care at Westario Power, said the system went down at about 11:30 a.m., affecting the area of Queen and Durham Streets.
"The crew investigated the issue and power was restored by 2 p.m.," he said. "It was a small-scale, unplanned outage."
He added that information was available through Facebook and Twitter as the situation was being monitored.
