Public input sought for Kincardine Parks Master Plan
The Kincardine parks and recreation department is seeking public input on its Parks Master Plan.
Approved by council in July, the $61,000 plan will be completed by Skelton Brumwell and Associates. The cost is more than double the $30,000 budgeted, with the additional money coming from the parks and recreation reserve fund.
The process is under way, and the municipality wants residents to make comments through a survey that will assist in the creation of the plan.
With a large number of playgrounds, athletic fields, green spaces, and more, plus the ever-present request for additional parks and playgrounds, a Parks Master Plan will be beneficial for the community, as it helps guide council and staff in planning and decision-making.
