Kincardine Fall Fair ambassador contest to include Junior, and Prince, Princess competitions
Two girls are vying for the title of Kincardine Fall Fair ambassador this year, with the pageant set for Friday night, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m., at the Connaught Park Pavilion. The 2016-17 ambassador, Delage Mowle, will be on hand to help crown the winner.
This year, the evening will include a Junior competition with one contestant signed up, as well as a Prince and Princess of the Fair contest for children, aged seven and under.
AMBASSADOR CONTESTANTS
The Senior ambassador contestants are Priyanka Kalra and Belle Wilson.
PRIYANKA KALRA
Priyanka is a Grade 12 student at Kincardine District Secondary School. The 17-year-old daughter of Sanjay and Rachna Kalra, she enjoys being involved with the community and is very grateful to be able to participate in this competition! She has lived in Kincardine since 2001 and would be honoured to represent her hometown by becoming the 2017-18 Kincardine Fall Fair ambassador.

Belle is the 17-year-old daughter of Charlene Martin and Darcy Wilson, and has lived her entire life in Kincardine. She plans to return for a fifth year at Kincardine District Secondary School where she has participated in the Free the Children club, debate club and other extra-curricular activities. She has also been part of the school gymnastics team and track and field team. With the gymnastics team, she has been to four OFSAA (provincial) championships, bringing home multiple medals, including gold! Besides sports, she enjoys making others happy. For this reason, last summer, she went alongside Me to We for a three-week time period to help build two schools and meet/learn from the locals. She is looking forward to competing again for the title of Kincardine Fall Fair Ambassador - another chance to represent the beautiful, small town of Kincardine where she is proud to live.
The Junior contestant is Heidi Allen.
