Photo in story is of a Northern Bobwhite Quail, says reader

Hi Liz:

Just wanted to comment on one of the photos from this story. It looks as if the bird pictured is not a Ruffed Grouse but a Northern Bobwhite Quail.

What is interesting about this is that the Northern Bobwhite Quail is an endangered species here in Ontario.

I would suggest the photographer send the picture and information to the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR). More information on the bird can be found here: www.ontario.ca/page/northern-bobwhite
