MANOR MUSINGS

Just a quick note of appreciation to Shoppers Drug Mart in Kincardine for Seniors Day. Every other month, Shoppers Drug Mart sends buses to the four local retirement homes and brings the residents to the Kincardine store to enjoy Seniors Day where they are greeted with refreshments.

A big thank you to Bruce Telecom for the donation of $15,000 in cash and in-kind services for the establishment of the one-bed residential hospice at Tiverton Park Manor.

Representatives of Bruce Telecom, along with members of the Huron Shores Hospice committee, were impressed by a tour of Tiverton Park Manor guided by Duncan Hamann.

"We are very proud to be able to lend our support, and excited to see the project moving nearer to implementation,” said Bart Cameron, chief executive officer of Bruce Telecom. This generous donation brings the committee a giant step closer to opening the doors of the one-bed residential hospice suite to serve the community with high-quality, end-of-life care.
