Hundreds enjoy Ripley Food, Arts and Crafts Festival
Hundreds of people took in the Ripley Food, Arts and Crafts Festival, held Aug. 19, at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre.
The event featured about 30 vendors, selling everything from pottery and paintings, to olive oil and baked goods.
Also on hand, was the Scowling Owl Art Zone, with Kincardine artist Andrea Zimmer teaching youngsters the fine art of Geli-print-making.
And many people enjoyed a delicious lunch of soup, salad, wraps, scones, butter tarts and ice cream, featuring many of the vegetables and fruit grown at the Bruce Botanical Food Gardens in Ripley.
The food gardens is hosting its annual Harvest Dinner, Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre, beginning with appetizers at 4:30 p.m., and dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 each; available at the Huron-Kinloss municipal office in Ripley and Sleepers Bed Gallery in Kincardine.
