RWTO South Bruce invites all retired teachers to fall meeting in Ripley
School is back in session and if you did a little happy dance Sept. 5, you might be a retired teacher!
Whether you’re newly retired from teaching, new to the area or new to the group, the South Bruce branch of the Retired Women Teachers of Ontario (RWTO) invites you to the first meeting of the fall, Oct. 26 at the Ripley Legion.
Registration and social time begin at 10 a.m., followed by presentations and new business. After lunch, local author Arlene MacFarlane will address the group.
The RWTO exists to provide social opportunities for retired teachers so they can network, maintain friendships, stay informed about issues of interest, and receive support in times of illness and loss.
The South Bruce branch welcomes teachers living along the Lake Huron coast from Saugeen Shores to Kincardine, and inland from Walkerton and Hanover to Wingham.
To inquire about attending the Oct. 26 meeting, contact Pat Emmerton at 519-396-1120 or Carole Machan at 519-396-6589, by Oct. 12.
