DRUGS SEIZED AT RIDE
(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – March 15, at 1:37 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE check on Bruce County Road 15, in Kincardine Township, when they noticed a silver Nissan Rogue attempt to avoid the check point.
The vehicle was located on Victoria Road, Kincardine Township, and a quantity of illegal drugs was found in the vehicle. The driver, 26-year-old Josh CREWSON of Kincardine, was charged with possess a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in court April 27, to answer to the charges.
OPEN ALCOHOL IN SPEEDING VEHICLE
(BRUCE TWP, ON) – March 15, at 1:21 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Highway 21 in Bruce Township, noticed a grey Mazda 3 moving at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle speed was displayed on radar at 115 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped and the passenger was found to have open alcohol. The 17-year-old male driver was charged with speeding and the 17-year-old male passenger was charged with person under 19 years of age consuming alcohol.
DRUGS SEIZED AT VEHICLE STOP
(WALKERTON, ON) – March 15 at 12:14 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Old Durham Road in Walkerton, stopped a silver Honda Accord.
The officer found a quantity of illegal drugs in the vehicle. The driver, 24-year-old Stephen KEIP of Brockton, was charged with two counts of possess a controlled substance. He is scheduled to attend court April 13, to answer to the charges.
POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN ATV
(LUCKNOW, ON) – March 14, at 10:33 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of the theft of an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) from a residence in the 500 block of Havelock Street in Lucknow.
Sometime between 10:30 a.m. March 11, and 10:30 a.m. March 14, a yellow 2010 Can-Am Outlander, Licence No. 25WP9, was taken. The value of the stolen ATV is estimated to be $7,000.
DRIVER WILL TRY WALKING FOR THREE DAYS
(KINCARDINE, ON) – March 14, at 12:46 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Highway 21 in Kincardine Township, stopped a white Ford F150 pick-up truck.
The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. A three-day driver’s licence suspension was served following a warn range result at the roadside.
