South Bruce OPP report break-in; theft; and seek witnesses to crash
POLICE INVESTIGATING BREAK-IN
(GREENOCK TWP, ON) - Sept. 19, at 6:21 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a break-in at a property along Concession 6, Greenock Township, in the Hamlet of Chepstow.
Sometime between Sept. 2-18, the building was forcibly entered. The list of missing property includes: a grey 9.9-horsepower Yamaha outboard motor, red Porter Cable 35-gallon compressor, Big Jon electric downriggers, Miller MIG welder and a red Hilti hammer drill. The value of the stolen items is estimated to be more than $7,000.
POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN VEHICLE
(WALKERTON, ON) - Sept. 18, at 12:54 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of the theft of a vehicle at a residence along Victoria Street South in Walkerton.
Sometime between 12:20-12:50 p.m. Sept. 18, a white Pontiac Montana with Licence No. BSED727, was taken. There is no estimate on the value of the stolen van available at this time.
POLICE SEEKING WITNESSES TO CRASH
(ELDERSLIE TWP, ON) - Sept. 15, at 1:24 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a single-vehicle crash along Bruce County Road 3 in Elderslie Township, just north of Paisley.
Officers arrived to find a red Toyota Corolla in the west ditch with significant front-end damage. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The Toyota was northbound on Bruce County Road 3 when the driver swerved to avoid a southbound truck that had crossed into the northbound lane. The southbound vehicle is described as a maroon-coloured Chevrolet or GMC pick-up truck with a cap on the back. Police want to speak with the driver of the pick-up.
