Global design firm, Stantec, opens office in downtown Kincardine
Global design firm, Stantec, has opened a new office in downtown Kincardine.
Located at 926 Queen Street, Stantec’s new location will be a project office, focusing on architectural, buildings engineering, planning and land development engineering in support of Bruce Power.
“We are pleased to see Stantec establish a local presence in our region, and look forward to continuing to build our relationship with the company as we advance critical infrastructure projects to support Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program,” said Kevin Kelly, executive vice-president, corporate services, at Bruce Power.
“Our relationship with Bruce Power, and the commitment it has made to our Stantec team, is a key factor to our locating an office and staff in Kincardine,” said Kevin Fergin, regional business leader. “We also look forward to further opportunities within Bruce County and the surrounding area. Many of our staff have roots in the area, so we feel a personal commitment to the county and to the success of the projects that help develop the community.”
“We appreciate the value Stantec's commitment to local economic development will have on our surrounding communities,” said county warden Mitch Twolan. “Our economic development partnership with Bruce Power, and the opportunities this has already brought to the area, is critical to ensuring the long-term sustainability of Bruce Power, its local supply chain, and our local communities.”
The Stantec community unites approximately 22,000 employees working in more than 400 locations across six continents. Its work — planning, engineering, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental sciences, project management, and project economics, from initial project concept and planning through design, construction, and commissioning—begins at the intersection of community, creativity, and client relationships. With a long-term commitment to the people and places it serves, Stantec has the unique ability to connect to projects on a personal level and advance the quality of life in communities across the globe. Stantec trades on the TSX and the NYSE under the symbol STN. For more information, visit
