Kincardine Bulldogs notch two wins, one loss in past week
The Kincardine Bulldogs of the PJHL Pollock Division have improved their record by notching two wins and one loss over the past week.

After dropping four games straight at the start of the season, the Bulldogs downed Huntsville, 6-2, and Midland, 4-2, before losing to Walkerton, 3-2, and Mitchell, 2-1.

Friday night (Oct. 6), the 'Dogs fell to the Barons, 6-3 in Hanover, but then picked up momentum as they downed the Penetang Kings at home, Saturday night (Oct. 7), by a 5-2 score, and shut out Hanover, 5-0, at the Davidson Centre, Thursday night.

In the win over Penetang, Saturday night, the Bulldogs opened the scoring early in the first when Trevor Donaldson scored from Tyler Sutter and Justin Marlowe.

Penetang tied it up, before Mike Fiegehen worked the powerplay and put the 'Dogs ahead, 2-1, assisted by Jordan Caskenette.

After a scoreless second period, Caskenette made it a 3-1 game early in the third, assisted by Fiegehen.

Penetang scored midway in the period, before the Bulldogs pounded in two late goals to take the 5-2 win. Fiegehen had an unassisted powerplay goal, while Brett Burrows buried an empty-net goal from Damien Demarco-Sutton.

Thursday night, the Bulldogs took on Hanover at the Davidson Centre, and shut out the Barons, 5-0. After two scoreless periods, the 'Dogs hammered in five goals in the final frame to take the win.

Scoring were Sutter from Brady Richards and Keegan Angel; Demarco-Sutton from Richards and Marlowe; Donaldson from Demarco-Sutton and Robert White; Caskenette, unassisted; and Marlowe from Donaldson and Connor Gibson.

The Bulldogs are in Goderich tomorrow night (Friday, Oct. 13), and back home at the Davidson Centre to play Mitchell, Sunday at 3:55 p.m.
