Pedestrian seriously hurt; police seek witnesses to accident in Goderich
(GODERICH, ON) - Just after Noon, Saturday, Oct. 21, members of the Huron County OPP, along with paramedics from Huron County Paramedic Services, responded to a motor-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian, at the intersection of Balvina Drive East and Bayfield Road.
The preliminary investigation has revealed the injured pedestrian was walking northbound within the crosswalk on Bayfield Road when she attempted to cross over Balvina Drive East. As she was crossing the roadway, a Dodge Ram pick-up turned left onto Balvina Drive from Bayfield Road into her path.

The injured pedestrian, an 87-year-old Goderich woman, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. She remains in hospital with serious injuries.
