Kincardine Community Singers in rehearsals for Christmas concert Dec. 9-10
The Kincardine Community Singers are in rehearsals for the Christmas concert, slated for Dec. 9-10, at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine.
This year, the 90-member choir is celebrating "Forty Years of Christmas," said director Patt Lowry. "We have chosen some of our favourites over the past 40 years, and added a few new pieces as well.

MC is the always-enjoyable John Low, and the musicians are Brenda Manderson on piano, Karen Weber on bass, Steve Deer on guitar and Mike Smith on drums. The choir will also be featuring a string quartet in two of the songs.
Rehearsals began in late August, said Lowry, and Saturday was a full-day practice at the church. This Wednesday (Oct. 25), is the Halloween practice, with choir members urged to arrive in costume.
The Christmas concert runs Saturday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available soon at the choir's new vendor, Harbour Rose Boutique, in downtown Kincardine.
